Easy Meatball Rolls

Just Baked Meatball Rolls
Cross-section of a Roll
Meatballs & cheese wrapped in garlic bread. The frozen meatballs need not be thawed before assembling. They were simply delicious and the meatball inside the roll was soft and juicy.

Adapted from a Pillsbury recipe.

Ingredients:
1 can (8 biscuits) Pillsbury Grands Homestyle Buttermilk biscuits
16 large cooked Italian-style meatballs (I used Johnsonville’s Pork Italian Meatballs)
4 oz. Sargento grated Mozarella cheese
Pam cooking-spray
1 tsp. Italian seasoning
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup marinara sauce, heated

Directions:
1.    Heat oven to 375°F.
2.    Separate dough into 8 biscuits and each biscuit into 2 layers.
3.    Press each biscuit layer into a 3-inch round.
4.    Place 1 meatball and some mozzarella cheese in center of each biscuit layer.
5.    Wrap dough around meatball and cheese, pressing edges to seal.
6.    Place dough balls, seam side down, in single layer in two 8 or 9 inch round baking dishes.
7.    Spray rolls lightly with cooking spray.
8.    Sprinkle evenly with Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning and garlic salt.
9.    Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes or until rolls are golden brown.
Serve warm rolls with marinara sauce for dipping.

  2. Am planning on trying it out on them. Most children like to eat stuff they can hold in their hands, so they should like it...2 of their favorites - meatballs and rolls.
