Sesame Soy Sauce Chicken |
If you're looking for a quick and easy stew to make during the week, here's one option using boneless, skinless chicken thighs and minimal ingredients. It's mildly sweet, tangy and hearty when served with a side of steamed greens and long-grain white rice.
Ingredients
1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken thighs, each thigh cut in half
1 medium onion, sliced
1 tsp. garlic paste
1 tsp ginger paste
1 Tbsp. sugar
3 Tbsp. soy sauce
2 Tbsp. sesame oil
1/2 cup water
2-3 stalks green onions, julienned and cut in 1" lengths
Directions
- Bring onions, ginger and garlic paste, sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil and water to a boil.
- Add chicken thighs and simmer over medium-high heat for 15-20 minutes until sauce reduces and clings to chicken.
- Garnish with green onions and serve.
